92eed1ec9b fix(a11y): accessible names for switches, swatches, selects and inputs
Lighthouse a11y across the authenticated module pages flagged: the clickable
Siftlode logo had aria-label='Feed' (accessible name didn't include its visible
text); the shared Switch, theme swatches, sort selects and several number/range
inputs had no accessible name/label. Give Switch role='switch'+aria-checked and
an optional label (passed at every call site), aria-label the swatches, selects
(feed/playlists sort) and the settings/config/scheduler inputs, and drop the
mismatched logo aria-label so its visible text is the name. All 11 module pages
now score 100 accessibility (settings 86->100, playlists 89->100, others 92-95->100).

7ab76ccafb feat(ui): favicon, dynamic tab title, clickable logo, styled module headers
Session-close cosmetics:
1. Favicon — an 'S' monogram (indigo→violet rounded square, path-drawn so it's font-independent)
at public/favicon.svg, linked in index.html (tab had none before).
2. Dynamic document.title — reflects the current module ('Downloads · Siftlode'); Feed = brand
only; an open channel page shows the channel name. Shared pageTitleKey() in lib/pageMeta.ts
keeps the tab title and the top-bar header in lockstep.
3. The 'Siftlode' logo already navigated to Feed but read as static text — added a hover
background + cursor affordance so it's clearly clickable.
4. Module header — new shared PageTitle component (used by every non-feed module via Header) with
a tracked small-caps 'eyebrow' + leading accent dot (user-picked style B), styled in one place.
Verified in a real browser: favicon served (image/svg+xml), title updates per module, logo→feed,
header restyled; no console errors.

f32c3f08dc fix(auth): pin each tab to its account so cross-tab changes don't leak in
A tab that never explicitly picked an account rode the session's default, so when ANOTHER
tab changed that default (adding or switching an account), this tab silently swapped identity
on its next refetch — the account chip updated while the feed/saved-views lagged until reload.

- Pin every tab to whatever account it first loaded as (write the sessionStorage override on
load when none is set), so its requests always carry its own account header and cross-tab
  default changes can't reach it.
- 'Add account' now clears this tab's pin before the Google redirect, so on return the tab
adopts the freshly-added account (and pins that) — the current tab switches to it while other
tabs keep their own, matching the Gmail add-account model.

5cd807ec51 feat(auth): per-tab account — different account per browser tab
Two tabs in one browser can now run two different signed-in accounts at once.

- The signed session cookie stays the browser's account WALLET (account_ids). Which account a
given tab acts as is a per-tab choice held in sessionStorage and sent per-request via the
X-Siftlode-Account header; current_user honours it only for an account already in the wallet,
without mutating the cookie's default account. Switching accounts sets the header + reloads
THIS tab only, instead of the old cookie-wide switch that changed every tab.
- WebSocket can't send headers, so the per-tab account rides in the ?account= query param
  (validated against the wallet).
- Logout is per-tab aware: it signs the requesting tab's active account out of the wallet
(promoting a new default only if the removed one was the default), and the tab drops its
override. A stale per-tab header account 401s just that tab instead of clearing the session.
- Serve index.html with Cache-Control: no-cache so a deploy's new hashed bundle is picked up
immediately instead of the browser running a heuristically-cached stale index.html.

072b3296a3 feat(layout): full-height collapsible filter sidebar; sync status + scope relocated
Restructure the app shell into three top-level columns:
- The per-user sync status (video counts + live sync state) moves from the top bar to a
compact block at the top of the left nav rail (icon-only with a tooltip when collapsed).
- The feed's Mine/Library scope toggle moves to the top of the filter sidebar.
- The filter sidebar becomes a full-height sibling column with its own collapse control
(a thin rail carrying the active-filter count), mirroring the nav rail. The top bar is
now just the feed search / page title.
- Both panels' collapsed state is persisted to the user's preferences (server-side, so it
follows the account across devices), seeded from a localStorage cache to avoid a flash.

Default: both panels open.

b59208e006 feat(nav): admin section label + role chip beside the user name
- A clearer 'Admin' section header (thicker centred rule when collapsed) above the
admin-only modules (Scheduler/Configuration/Users), replacing the faint hairline.
- A small role chip (admin/user/demo) next to the account name — an avatar-corner dot
  when the rail is collapsed.

44093066ec fix(messages): don't inherit a stale chat thread across account switch
Switching accounts does location.reload(), which preserves history.state — so the new
account re-mounted the Messages module from the previous account's _sub sub-view, whose
partnerId belongs to the OLD identity (often the new account's own id → an empty
self-thread). Symptom: after switching to the recipient you land on a blank thread and
the just-received message never shows (F5 keeps history.state); only going back to the
list and reopening the real conversation works.

Fix: (1) strip _sub/_ov from history.state before the switch reload so the new account
starts at the module root; (2) guard Messages so a thread view with partnerId === meId
falls back to the conversation list (can't message yourself).

472aba6480 refactor(frontend): adopt store/storage helpers; centralize persistence
- errorDialog + hints now use createStore (drop their bespoke listener arrays).
- theme/sidebarLayout/notifications/App filters/Playlists plSort use readMerged/
  readJSON/writeJSON instead of inline try/JSON.parse/catch.
- Stats, SettingsPanel and App's channel filter/view tabs use usePersistedState
(the 3 sites that reinvented usePersistedTab inline).
- Every siftlode.* key now sourced from the LS registry (no scattered literals).

3fd71cd316 feat(messages): standalone Messages module + floating chat dock
Move messaging out of the notification center into its own left-nav module
(own page, own unread badge), so a reload returns to it and notifications stay
separate. Add a Messenger-style floating dock (bottom-right): pop a conversation
out from the page, keep chatting across navigation, minimise (rollup) or close.

- Messages is now a routed page; NotificationsPanel reverts to inbox-only and the
nav badge no longer mixes in messages.
- Extract shared KeyGate + ChatThread (used by both the page and dock windows);
e2ee exposes a shared unlock subscription so page and dock agree.
- ChatDock (always mounted for human users) owns the app-wide live-message
subscription and per-device key restore. EN/HU/DE strings.

2f0ca68e8a feat(messages): E2EE real-time messaging UI + system welcome
A Messages tab in the notification center (hidden for demo): set up secure
messaging with a passphrase (key generated + wrapped in-browser via WebCrypto,
stored non-extractable per device), unlock on other devices, then chat with
end-to-end encrypted, live-delivered messages. The server-authored Siftlode
welcome is readable before any key setup.

- lib/e2ee.ts: ECDH P-256 + HKDF + AES-GCM, PBKDF2-wrapped key, IndexedDB.
- lib/messagesSocket.ts: WebSocket client with backoff reconnect.
- Messages.tsx: key gate, conversation list with decrypted previews, directory,
thread with client-side decrypt + encrypt-on-send. Unread feeds the nav badge.
  EN/HU/DE strings.

737da6bd96 feat(auth): admin Users page + allow_registration toggle (5a frontend)
New admin-only Users page (sidebar): Users & roles (list + promote/demote with
confirm; self/demo/last-admin guarded server-side), plus the Access requests
(Invite whitelist) and Demo whitelist+reset migrated out of Settings → Account
(same data/tables — UI relocated only). Settings → Account now holds personal
content only. ConfigPanel learns a boolean field type (toggle) for the new
allow_registration setting. api methods, new 'users' page/route/nav/header, and
EN/HU/DE strings (new users namespace + access group).

17a0886d60 feat(stats): consolidate per-user sync status into the Stats page
The Settings > Sync tab moves into the Stats module: Stats is now a per-user
page (Overview tab = sync status + your own API usage + manual actions) with the
admin instance-wide quota dashboard + background-sync pause as an admin-only
System tab. The Stats nav item is visible to all users (was admin-only); the
Settings Sync tab is removed. Sync i18n strings move from settings.sync.* to
stats.sync.* (EN/HU/DE).

d3c6ce659c feat(notifications): unify the two rail indicators into one inbox
Fold the client-side transient bell into the inbox page so there's a single
notification indicator. The inbox now has two groups — "System" (durable,
server-backed) and "Activity" (client-side events with their Unhide/Unwatch/
Find-in-feed actions) — and the nav badge sums both unread counts. The separate
rail bell (NotificationCenter) is removed.

Activity items get a per-item clear (X) alongside the global Clear all. Unhiding
or unwatching a video from anywhere — a card, the toast's Undo, or the inbox —
now quietly resolves the original "Hidden/Watched X" entry (no duplicate "Unhidden
X" toast, no stale entry with a dead action), via a new resolveVideo store helper.

b9a3a9012d feat(notifications): durable per-user inbox (P1) + maintenance schema
Add a server-backed notification center that coexists with the client-side
transient bell: a per-user `notifications` table (type/title/body/data JSON/
read/dismissed), a `/api/me/notifications` CRUD API (list, unread_count, read,
read_all, dismiss, clear), and a left-nav inbox module with a live unread badge
polled via useLiveQuery. Known types render trilingual text from type+data
(English stored text is the fallback); read rows are trimmed past a soft cap.

Also adds the schema the maintenance job builds on: videos.list?part=status
columns (embeddable/privacy_status/upload_status) and the validation lifecycle
columns (last_checked_at, unavailable_since, unavailable_reason).

Page-id validation is centralized in one PAGES source of truth (isPage) so the
new page survives reload without a second allowlist to keep in sync.

7a5f52a89b feat(nav): group rail modules + move chrome controls into the sidebar
- Split the rail into a content group (Feed/Channels/Playlists) and an admin
group (Stats/Scheduler) separated by a divider (system group hidden for non-admins).
- Move the language switcher, About and notification bell out of the top header
into an icon cluster above Settings (horizontal expanded, vertical collapsed).
Their popovers portal to <body> and anchor right + above the button, escaping the
nav's backdrop-filter. About is removed from the account popover (now in the cluster).
- LanguageSwitcher/NotificationCenter gain a 'rail' variant for the above.
- Also relocate the Toaster mount into the (now relative) content column.

New admin Scheduler page (left-nav entry) with a live, self-refreshing view of

useLiveQuery hook (pauses when the tab is unfocused) that the notification bell
and future yt-dlp job queue will reuse instead of re-implementing.

583e003c23 feat(auth): N3 — server-side multi-session account switch
Track every account that completes OAuth in a browser session (session 'account_ids',
~14-day cookie), so the user can switch between them without another Google round-trip.
New GET /api/me/accounts (switchable accounts, active flagged) and POST /api/me/switch
(guarded: target must be in the session list — proof it signed in here — and re-checked
against is_allowed in case the invite was revoked). Logout now signs out the active
account and falls back to the most recent remaining one, else clears the session. UI: the
account popover lists the other signed-in accounts (click to switch, reloads) plus an
'Add another account' action (-> /auth/login, which uses prompt=select_account).
Trilingual. Third step of Epic N.

ed2d76f92d fix(nav): remove backdrop div so the account popover frosts
The full-screen transparent dismiss backdrop sat directly behind the popover and acted as
a compositing layer, so the popover's backdrop-filter sampled it (empty) instead of the
page — making the glass look fully solid. Drop the backdrop and dismiss via document
mousedown/Escape listeners (like the other menus). Now backdrop-filter samples real
content and the frost shows.

a18924bf97 fix(nav): restore frosted glass on the portaled account popover
Now that the popover is portaled to body its backdrop-filter actually samples the content
behind it, so the near-opaque glass-menu (needed only as a workaround while blur was
trapped) made it look solid. Switch it back to the frosty .glass (78%); the working blur
softens the background so text stays readable without the bleed-through. Trapped header
menus (language/notifications) keep glass-menu.

5bb85b039a fix(nav): portal account popover to body (stacking + click-through)
The nav's .glass backdrop-filter makes it a containing block for fixed descendants and a
stacking context, so the account popover's fixed inset-0 backdrop only covered the nav (not
the viewport) and the popover sat below the main content — controls behind it stayed
clickable. Portal the popover + its dismiss backdrop to <body> with fixed coords computed
from the trigger rect, so it's truly top-most (z-50) and blocks clicks underneath.

74491991d7 fix(ui): opaque .glass-menu for floating popovers (readability)
Floating menus hover over undimmed content (no backdrop scrim like dialogs), so the
frosted .glass (78%) let the content bleed through and hurt readability. Add a near-opaque
.glass-menu (surface 92%, keeps blur) and use it for the account, language, notification
and add-to-playlist popovers. Dialogs/chrome keep the frostier .glass (they sit over a dark
scrim / the ambient bg). perf-mode disables its blur too.

d46be00d47 feat(ui): glassmorphism phase 1 — frost the app chrome
Apply the real frosted .glass surface (blur) to the few large chrome surfaces — the nav
sidebar, the header and all Modal-based dialogs (was glass-card / plain surfaces) — and
enrich the ambient backdrop a touch (three soft accent pools) so the glass has more to
refract app-wide. Popovers (notifications, language, account, add-to-playlist) were
already glass. Bulk feed cards stay glass-card (no per-card blur) for performance; the
existing perf-mode still disables blur. Phase 2 (ambient thumbnail mosaic / bg image +
toggle) deferred to end-of-project polish.

d30dc7f760 feat(nav): Settings as a page module (Design B)
Move Settings out of the right-side overlay into a left-nav page (page='settings'),
so it opens where you're already looking — no cross-screen mouse travel. The Settings
rail item now sets the page (with active highlight) instead of opening a dialog; the

backdrop), with the page title shown in the header. Removed the overlay + Esc/backdrop
close path.

4a80ea5aa5 feat(nav): N1 — collapsible left nav sidebar (Design C)
Move the modules (Feed/Channels/Playlists/Stats) out of the avatar dropdown into a

(persisted in localStorage). Account actions (About, Sign out, admin badge) move to a

account menu removed from it. New nav.json strings (HU/EN/DE). First step of Epic N.
